So what is a Vision Board?

A vision board is a visual representation of things that you would like to manifest into your life. It can include a variety of small goals like a healthier and happier lifestyle, or a trip to Hawaii!

Vision boards use the law of attraction so there are no limits! (For more on the law of attraction click it!)

What should I put on my vision board?

It is entirely up to you! Start thinking about your dream job, what your goals are, where you want to live, words you want to live by, or simply how you want to feel.

The goal of a vision board to make your dreams become a reality, so be sure to include pictures that will represent what you most desire.

For example, if your dream job is to work at Under Armour, make sure to include a picture or logo of the brand on your board. This way every time you look at your vision board, you remember that working at Under Armour is one of your goals.

What materials do I need?

Now you may be thinking, ‘I’m a college student, and I don’t have time to go to the store and buy a poster board and spend all day cutting and gluing pictures to a poster board.’ Well, I have some good news for you! There are other ways to make vision boards that don’t require a physical poster board.

There are great alternatives that work just as well, it just depends on how much time you want to spend making the board and what your preferences are.

Listed below are a few options:

1. Pinterest:

Pinterest will most likely be your best option if you want a quick way to make your vision board. All you need is a Pinterest account and some inspiration!

To get started, create a new Pinterest board and give it a title. For example, “Vision Board 2019” or “My Dream Life”. Now that you have your board ready, you can start pinning!

The great thing about a Pinterest board is that you don’t have to worry about making any mistakes because you can always add or delete pictures in the future.

If you have a little bit more time, you can make a board using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or any other digital worksheet that allows you to add and drag images.

This is a great method if you would prefer to upload your own photos from your laptop, or cut and paste photos from the internet. Simply make sure you have the photos you want to use downloaded to your device and then upload them to the sheet.

3. Poster Board and Paper

Using a poster board is the traditional method and best if you would like to have a physical board to hang in your room, or office. Required materials include: poster board, printer paper, magazines, scissors, glue/tape, and writing/drawing utensils (optional).

Use magazines or the internet to find photos or sayings relevant to what you would like to manifest. Use scissors to cut the photos and glue them to the poster board. Make sure you let the pictures dry before hanging the board.

I’ve made my vision board, now what?

Wait and be patient. Part of the concept of a vision board, is believing that you are capable of living the life you created on your board.

Now that you have identified what you want to manifest in your life, work to meet those goals and trust that the “universe” will make them happen. If you ever feel discouraged or forget what you are working towards, look at your vision board to get inspired and to remember what you are working towards.

We’d love to see your vision board!
